How many of us have found ourselves saying "I just don't feel inspired" or "Where is my muse?" I know I've been there. It's during these times I find myself thinking about the network of talented artists I have connected with over the years. These days it is so easy to connect with many creative friends by visiting their blog or stopping by on one of the many social network sites available.
Inspiration from artists we admire help us develop our own unique style. To me, this is similar to a musician or a chef. You wouldn't say that only one band can play rock or jazz music, or only one chef can cook lasagna. When you hear musicians speak of their inspirations, they will gladly share who has inspired them to create their music. What an awesome way to thank a fellow artist! I have been fortunate enough to hear how a piece I have created inspired another artist to try a technique, or even create a similar piece. It's like hearing another version of a favorite song.
I would like to thank Pam for the opportunity of being a guest contributor to this amazing book. There are so many wonderful artists featured that I am certain you'll find inspiration on every page.
