Thank you again for all of your lovely comments on my sweet dog, Ruby. It's so tough getting over the loss of a pet. Especially one that was so dear to our family.
Now that I've managed to come bleary-eyed through the fog of the past few days, I've come to post my macro challenge photographs. I thought that the first one is appropriate because this is how I'm feeling. Sort of broken. I know I will get past the tough parts with healing time. I feel so lucky to be an artist. It's the best therapy!

Julie, i am so sorry to hear about your dog, that is always hard...pets become another family member and it is sad when they are sick...you did the compassionate thing for her as she was suffering so...great pictures today, you are really running with that challenge:)

Oh Julie good to find you back on the macro, a return to some kind of normality after the heartbreak. Time will heal and dare I say maybe another canine friend? Sorry if you think it's too soon.
Every time I've lost a dog I've said never again but then within a couple of weeks the house seems so empty that I cave and along comes another. How our house could ever feel empty I really don't know!

Hi,
Found you via Somerset. Loved the doll info in the magazine. I just made a new form based on yours, I have nover done it that way. I always make my dolls with just paperclay. But I thought I'd try your from and papermache. It was different working with papermache, very sticky. The underbody is out drying in the sun right now. I wanted to say thank you for sharing. Such beautiful work you do.
So sorry to hear about your sweet dog. Losing a pet is so hard and such a blow to your family. My thoughts are with you. Take care.
