I guess any day you're alive is a good day, however you gotta' REALLY LOVE the perfect day!!!! Those are the ones you spend with the ones you love just doing the small things with no agenda. The ones that leave incredible memories etched in your mind. That to me is a perfect day! It's not really about drinking sangria in the park or feeding the animals at the zoo. It's a "metaphor" for what Your PERFECT DAY is!

ENJOY your most PERFECT DAY with the ones you love! Create a memory! Live your perfect day!!!!

MUSIC and Emotions

If music can cause you to have an emotion, than it has done it's job! Whenever I hear a song I want to just feel an emotion. Something that just makes me want to connect with what the artist is trying to convey. It's completely alright if it has nothing to do with what the artist had originally intended but what if feels like for "you". That is what ART is all about! To feel something! CREATE ART!!!!! And remember to BE TRUE TO YOURSELF!

Perfect Day!

I have to say one more thing! TODAY was a perfect day! In my "older" ish......;) age (40 something...) I have learned to appreciate the small things that life has to offer. This morning I went to my eight year old daughter's award ceremony at her school. She won some awards. However she wasn't the one up on the stage every time there was an award! That is so O.K.! I know my daughter, I see all the wonderful things she has to offer this society. SHE'S AN ARTIST!!!!! ;)......She gets decent grades. G's and O's.......which in todays standards would be A's and B's. What more could a parent ask for! We work hard on her homework every night. We read books. Good books. Junie B. Jones! They are the best!!!!!!! However, I feel, as an artist, while it is important to keep good grades, that is not what makes the world go 'round! ART is WHAT MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND!!!!!!

My sweet daughter is the next generation. She has something to say in her pretty little white skirt!

Different Mediums

When it comes to all the endless mediums, I just can't seem to move on to the next medium, until I have explored and mastered all possibilities of each new territory. I must know what each texture/medium is capable of. I must push all of the boundaries of what each art element has to offer me ie. paper-paint-clay-camera-paint brush-digital graphics-etc., etc., etc......

I have pushed so many papers, clays, paints, sponges ......whatever, to their final maximum capabilities. However, that is the beauty of being an artist!!!! I wouldn't trade all my explorations for ANYTHING in the world! Art lives on!!!!

I'm happy to be an artist! Amongst all the stereotypical difficulties. I probably have every one in the book! I wouldn't trade it for a minute of someone else's life though!

Artists

I believe as artists, that all we strive to do is to tell a story. One that has been lurking around in our brain for a long time. A form of expression that can be told by no one else other than us. That is the beauty of art! That is why I believe that art must live on in all of us. Be TRUE to yourself!

Paint Pens

EVERY TIME I buy a paint pen I swear I will NEVER....EVER...buy another one again. Then I get into a craft store and I get so mesmerized by all the wonderful amazing things. Something takes over me. Like I've been abducted by aliens and I can't seem to keep a "common sense" thought in my head! I just become entranced by all the endless tools that are there just waiting for me to use to create! I think to myself surely by now they have perfected that paint pen..........NOT!!!! It still clogs and doesn't work! What is up with that? I'll go back to my "old faithful".....my wonderful skinny paint brush. Sometimes the new things look so enticing, but for now I'm sticking to the classics! After all, that's what they've been using for centuries!
